Welcome to Carla's Counseling Services
Supporting brighter futures, one step at a time.
Hi, I’m Carla, a qualified Counsellor and Social Work professional with over 20 years of experience working alongside children, young people, and families across schools, communities, and healthcare settings.

As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I bring lived experience, empathy, and insight into my work. I create fun, creative, and interactive sessions that are thoughtfully designed to meet each young person’s individual needs, strengths, and interests.
I offer both in-person and online counselling, with a focus on neurodiversity, trauma, emotional wellbeing, and complex needs. My approach is warm, person-centred, and adaptable to support each child in the way that works best for them.
With a strong background in social work, safeguarding, and multi-agency collaboration, I’m committed to providing a safe, supportive space where children feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Services
Helping children and families navigate life's challenges with empathy, expertise and practical support.

Counselling
In my counselling sessions, I create a safe, caring space where children and young people can freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and any challenges they’re facing. Using age-friendly ways like play, art, and talking, I support them in building resilience, growing emotional awareness, and feeling more confident and in control of their world.

Neurodiverse Support
As a neurodivergent person myself, I’m passionate about supporting neurodivergent children—including those with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences. I offer tailored, strengths-focused support that’s rooted in a genuine understanding of neurodiversity. Working closely with families, schools, and other professionals, I help create consistent and nurturing environments where each child can thrive.
